The abstract design takes inspiration from the hexagonal shape of the Crucible theatre, where the World Snooker Championships have been held since 1977.]]>

                <![CDATA[Painted cabinets on Fargate in homage to the late Professor Nigel Dunnent. His Grey-to-Green planting and Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDs) have transformed many areas of the city centre towards the River Don; bringing greenery and a more attractive and natural flood defence to the city. He passed away on the 26th April 2026.

R U OK, with support from Friends of Sheffield City Centre, has created the tribute.

The design, colours and shapes are inspired by the flowers in bloom on the day Nigel passed away.]]>

                <![CDATA[This mural by R U OK sees a change in direction from his previous works that have tended to have a more familiar graffiti style.

The artist has described this artwork as &#8216;bring a sense of nature into the city, creating a moment of calm within the urban landscape.&#8217; Its abstract design represents the feeling of looking up into a canopy of trees, with light filtering and refracting through the leaves.

The mural was supported and funded by Sheffield Bid, with support from the Red Lion pub that it is painted on. R U OK had assistance from fellow artists GRAFEX and Chum.]]>
