This quarter is the former location of Sheffield Castle and the old Castle Markets. It is bound by the River Don in the north and High Street/Commercial Street to the south; with Angel Street/Snig Hill in the west and the inner ring road to the east. The most significant piece of street art in this part of the city is the striking brick mosaic by Paul Waplington of a steelworker on Castle Street.
