Huge success for Peachzz in global street art awards

Thursday 6th February 2025: This article has been updated following Street Art Cities’ announcement of vote tampering. Rankings for the ‘Best Mural of the World’ category have been revised. This has led to an improved position on the leaderboard for Peachzz.
The results are in for Street Art Cities’ Best of 2024 awards. Sheffield’s very own Peachzz was nominated in the ‘Best Mural of the World’ category for her ‘Reverie’ mural.
Peachzz’s mural has proven extremely popular and has been named 2nd in her category. There was some tough competition in the ‘Best Mural of the World’ category. Taking second place is an incredible achievement. We’re personally very proud of her.
Street Art Cities’ ‘best of’ awards are well-renowned in the street art community. Peachzz nomination alone was a big win. Coming in second is amazing!
Bringing street art to the Heart of the City

‘Reverie’ was created last summer and stands at 25.5 metres tall, making it Sheffield’s tallest mural and one of the artist’s largest works. Taking inspiration from the Steel City’s local canal system, it features a kingfisher and heron. The mural is named after the idea of daydreaming and getting lost in the natural world around us.
Peachzz mural was created with support from Visit Sheffield as part of the Festival of the Outdoors. It is located in one of the city’s newest green spaces, Pound’s Park, in the Heart of the City. It has made a stunning and eye-catching addition to the redeveloped centre of the city.
This wall has been hugely popular with people in Sheffield. Last year, our supporters overwhelmingly voted it as the best and most iconic mural in the city.
Now Peachzz can add being acknowledged as one of the best murals in the entire world. This recognition is fantastic for Peachzz and Sheffield’s wider street art scene. Being included in Street Art Cities’ shortlist has generated a lot of media attention for the artist. This in turn has brought Sheffield’s street art to a wider audience.
Looking to the future

We already expected big things for Peachzz. Now with this incredible accolade to her name it should really give her career a boost. We can’t wait to see what she creates next.
Later in the year, Peachzz will be curating a new street art festival in Sheffield alongside fellow artist Alastair Flindall. Lick of Paint will work to transform one of the city’s central neighbourhoods with colourful new artworks. Expect to see new works from a diverse group of artists.
