About Street Art Sheffield
Sheffield is an industrial city in the North of England on the edge of the Peak District national park. Famed for its steel production (Harry Brearley invented stainless steel here), The Fully Monty and locally for its Henderson’s Relish. It is also home to a large creative community.
The city’s urban landscape has provided local and internationally renowned street artists a playground to paint. Everywhere you wander in Sheffield you can find street art, grafitti and wall murals on the sides of pubs, derelict buildings, construction site boardings and shop shutters. The likes of Kid Acne, Milak, Phlegm, Faunagraphic and Rocket01 have made it their home and contributed to making Sheffield a little more colourful.
This website is a personal project, a place to share the photos of Sheffield’s varied street art that I’ve taken as I’ve been walking around the city.
My aim is to put the best grafitti, wall murals and specially commissioned works that I find on the map. I’m no photographer, the majority of the pictures have been snapped on my camera phone, but I hope to inspire people to come visit and seek out Sheffield’s creative street art.
